Review of Dracula by Bram Stoker

Dracula by Bram Stoker My rating: 4 of 5 stars I tend to enjoy books featuring magic, vampires, were-animals and supernatural creatures. Not because I'm such a big fan of horror and gore, but because I like reading about worlds similar to yet different from our own where people live mostly as we do, however with several huge differences. Dracula did not disappoint - I enjoyed the story and am glad I finally read this classic. Written as a series of diary entries (and letters and a newspaper article) by the main characters, Dracula is a gripping tale and kept me reading right until the very last page. I like the Diary format as it allows one to really see events from a character's point of view; to get into their heads and experience events as they lived them. Even though I knew (in general lines) what would happen in the story, I still wanted to read a very detailed diary entry of how those events would play out, simply to experience the book to its fullest. Awesome Sci-Fi

Having just watched Season 4 of Primeval and Season 2 of The Vampire Diaries , I'm now wondering what show to watch next. Doctor Who 's adventures with Amy Pond and Rory are up to date. So is Torchwood . Star Trek Enterprise and Stargate: Atlantis I watch on TV. The X-Files was awesome, but not something I'm keen to watch again right now. I watched Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles about two months ago, can pretty much dream every episode of Star Trek: Deep Space 9 and Voyager , am up to date on True Blood ... Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel are shows I still quote from and know near off by heart. Charmed finished so long ago that I've seen basically every episode at least three times by now. Really, I'm looking to get stuck into a show with plot-lines that develop over an entire season or series - complex and intricate stories that take time to understand. Stand-alone episodes are great, however I'm more of a Big Picture girl. Think ...

Sci Fi and Fantasy Shows

I'm a big sci-fi and fantasy nutter really - as long as a story involves aliens, magic, time travel, strange creatures, vampires, werewolves, dinosaurs, or really anything paranormal or supernatural - count me in. Think I've watched pretty much every episode of oh let me think... Star Trek (all series), Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Tru Calling, Dollhouse, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Primeval, Charmed, The Vampire Diaries, Torchwood, Supernatural, Earth: Final Conflict, Babylon 5... I'm sure the list is longer than this, but hey, you get the message. I'm a Trekkie, Trekker, Star-Trek nutter, call it what you will. And I'm proud of it! Deep Space 9 is my favourite series, however I also enjoyed Enterprise a lot. And Voyager. And The Next Generation. And the DS9 relaunch books. And the books set after The Original Series. And... Well, you get the point. Supernatural is currently in it's 4th season on TV over here, and while I read episode des...
