Primeval Season 3 Finale
Having watched the final episode of the 3rd series of Primeval, I'm left with a gazillion questions.
First - Why Helen ????!!!!!! I liked her character! OK, she pretty much turned evil and trying to kill off humanity wasn't necessarily her best move but still... She was a real protagonist and probably the foremost expert on the anomalies, the future, and the anomaly-related technologies we've seen. Would have loved the show to end with her leading the team in order to avoid the future she's seen and change the world -- in a good way for a change...
Second - Reading the updates about series 4 and 5, Abby and Connor will be back... Danny won't. Will he make it 'back' to the Present Day, or perhaps to a different time period, or will there be a s.4/5 episode where they mention his skeleton being found millions of years ago or something like that?
Third - Speaking of skeletons - what about Helen's? If the 13 early hominids were found at Site 333, then surely Helen's skeleton which was close by would also be found... And how would her skeleton be explained? I'm no big evolutionary theorist or anything, but surely 3 million years' worth of evolution means her skeleton will be significantly different from those of the hominids she poisoned? Wait... maybe the team will retriever her and Danny's bodies to preserve history or some such story? (Something tells me I'm really over-thinking this! ;-) )
Fourth - Which "Present Day" will we be seeing in series 4? And in series 5? The Claudia-verse or the Jenny-verse? Or maybe a completely different 'verse again? It sounds like the Jenny-verse as s.4 stories mention the ARC, however who knows...
Fifth - What happens between Connor and Abby? Her agreeing to let him move back into the flat sounds like they're just friends once again instead of being romantically involved. Still not sure if I like the idea of a relationship between the two, though - they were awesome as friends!
I'm sure the questions I've got are pretty much the same as those everyone else has, and I'll no doubt think of many more questions as I re-read episode descriptions and re-watch episodes.
I'm just glad to read that filming for series 4 and 5 has started and that answers are on the way!
